My stop motion animation will involve a character lost in the woods being stalked by a large E4 logo. The only light in the shots will be the moonlight, and the characters torch. There will be no musical soundtrack, but there will be typical forest noises; dry leaves, snapped twigs, wildlife, etc. Along with the characters heavy breathing, the E4’s maniacal laugh, and one final blood curdling scream. | |
Reasons for selection of theme (including inspiration from the work of others) | |
I chose this theme because it would be fun and convenient for me to do because I live no more than 10 meters from an adequate forest area. I was inspired by an old FOX KIDS ident and the Blair Witch Project. I do not intend to scare the audience, maybe it will for a little bit, but as soon as they see the E4 logo, they will realise that the fear they may have felt was unnecessary. This is the FOX KIDS ident I was talking about, although it’s in the style of a video game, mine will not be, and it won’t be quite as light-hearted, but it did inspire me quite a bit. This is the song i am going to use in the background of the animation. | |

Equipment needed | |
Just a camera and an SD card, no tripod because I need to make it actually look like the character is walking. And no props are necessary because I can add the 4 logo on Photoshop during the editing stage. | |
Techniques that will be used and how they will help convey the visual message | |
I will use only one shot really because it is from the characters POV at all times, except for one shot inside of the house, which is the E4’s POV instead. The beginning 20 or so seconds will be blurred, and the character will blink a few times, as well as stumbling around and maybe even falling over again, before regaining his balance. | |
